New Director for Lutheran Service Corps
Janelle Domeyer Begins Work
Lutheran Service Corps (LSC) is one of our Nebraska Synod Serving Arms–offering volunteers the chance to commit to a year of simple life in community and of service in a non-profit agency in Omaha. LSC provides a Christian setting for volunteers seeking to grow in faith and in service to the community.
Many volunteers are recent college graduates making the transition from college life, and a year of volunteer service provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience while preparing to enter the work force or return to graduate school. It is also a wonderful opportunity for individuals who may be retired and, once again, have time in their lives to serve.
LSC operates in a similar fashion and works cooperatively with Lutheran Volunteer Corps and Urban Servant Corps. Though these affiliations are established, one need not be Lutheran to be a member of LSC.
If you are interested in volunteering, contact Janelle Domeyer, LSC’s new director, at 402.457.5890.
You may also send questions through the synod’s online Contact form.
