More than 170 Attend Nebraska Synod’s Newest Mission Congregation’s First Worship
The Nebraska Synod’s newest mission congregation, Living Grace, held its first worship service on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, at Rowher Elementary School, 180th and F Streets in west Omaha. One hundred seventy-two adults and children attended worship, Sunday School, nursery and a meal held after worship to celebrate Living Grace.
Pastor James Lindberg expressed excitement about the initial attendance and celebration and thanks to the mission start’s various teams, which were involved in the preparations.
Living Grace is the result of cooperation among six west Omaha congregations with Rejoice! Lutheran taking the role of lead congregation, the Nebraska Synod and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
