Missions

God’s Great Commission calls all of Christ’s followers to share the Good News. In the Nebraska Synod, we have heard that call and we respond to it within the state and around the world.

Several of these ministries build partnerships with individuals who have found Nebraska a welcoming place for them as recent immigrants to the United States. Others seek to build upon efforts to share the Gospel in places where the Church has traditionally been unfamiliar.

No matter what the locale, each ministry takes to heart Christ’s words at the end of Matthew’s Gospel:

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”–Matthew 28:19-20, NRSV
