Lutheran Uhuru Hotel & Conference Center is owned and operated by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania–Northern Diocese and offers a full range of travel and guests services. The hotel provides comfortable accommodations where guests stay in clean, self-contained rooms.
The hotel operates an excellent onsite dining facility and internet café. Additionally, the hotel engages in tourism activities arranging safaris to the National Parks and the beaches in Pangani, Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar, and ground transportation throughout the country. The hotel also facilitates Mount Kilimanjaro climbing expeditions.
Lutheran Uhuru Hotel is uniquely equipped to arrange customized itineraries and has significant background in working with individuals, colleges, church groups, and organizations.
The hotel is significant to the ministry of the Northern Diocese by providing conference and training facilities to the church. The hotel also is an important source for financially undergirding the Northern Diocese by providing on average $60,000 per year in support of Gospel work. The hotel also makes other financial contributions to the Diocese for various projects as and when requested to do so.
