Sept 10 (Sun.) United Methodist-ELCA joint worship service

When: 7 p.m. Dinner and Program .

Where: Saint Paul United Methodist Church, 1144 M St, Lincoln, Nebraska

Our Nebraska Synod Bishop David L. deFreese will preach at the joint ELCA-United Methodist worship service on Sept. 10 in Lincoln. The service is scheduled at 7 p.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church,1144 M St, in Lincoln and will include a joint communion service. At our ELCA 2005 Churchwide Assembly. Earlier on Thursday, the assembly enthusiastically passed Interim Eucharistic Sharing with the United Methodist church, which is often a preliminary step to a Full Communion Relationship. The United Methodists and the U.S. Lutherans began formal dialogues in 1977, and a third round of dialogues began in 2001. In Nebraska Synod, congregations in rural communities have worked together in a variety of ways.

Beyond Survival II - Thriving Through Spiritual Leadership is the second annual inspirational conference planned at Sheridan/Lincoln!
