Mission Trip for Adults

Sharing and Caring Hands

Nov. 3-6, 2008
Minneapolis, Minn.

Sharing and Caring Hands, founded by Mary Jo Copeland in 1985, provides a compassionate response to the needs of poor people in Minneapolis. The people on the streets call Mary Jo their “street mother.” City officials call her “an extraordinary leader” and “an urban saint.” We will meet Mary Jo, hear her personal story, pray with her, and experience her active and animated love for all God’s people. We will volunteer at Sharing and Caring Hands for two days by serving meals and playing with the children who live in the transitional housing. If we go with open hands and hearts, we will find ourselves in the presence of our LORD.

We invite you to come and see…

  • how the love of God is being poured out daily in downtown Minneapolis
  • how volunteers and Mary Jo are caring for individuals and families in their community
  • how doing small things in the name of Jesus can make a large difference in your community!
